Pulp Fiction saves the day!

This is too funny to pass...

According to Super Official News (read more clicking on the link), a man stopped a robbery by just quoting Pulp Fiction:

“He just started quoting movie lines from Pulp Fiction. The robbers kind of went berserk and then they just left.” Local hero, Paul Horner, who thwarted the would-be robbers said, “It was really lucky that I had my wallet with me that said ‘bad motherf*cker’ on it. The robbers came around demanding everybody’s wallet and I just held it up, you know like how Samuel L. Jackson did in Pulp Fiction.”
Longtime diner Susan Litchfield said it was a pretty tense moment. “The robbers asked Mr. Horner what was in his hand. He told them it was his wallet that said ‘bad motherf*cker’ on it. I’ve never seen the movie so I didn’t know what he was talking about. I just thought he was some crazy white guy with a death wish.”
“After I said the comment about my wallet the robbers started freaking out. So then in my best tough black guy voice I said to them: Normally, both your asses would be dead as f*cking fried chicken, but you happen to pull this sh*t while I’m in a transitional period so I don’t wanna kill you, I wanna help you,” Horner said. “Then the robbers looked at each other and then just ran out of the restaurant. I knew my vast knowledge of Pulp Fictionwould pay off for me one day.”
I must say it was pretty awesome!

Things to know before asking for reviews!

I only review TV series and Movies that I obviously watched!

TV:

So even though I've been meaning to start watching Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, and Girls I still didn't have the time to catch up! (Sorry!)

I will eventually, but as in right now, the shows that I follow are HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother), New Girl, Modern Family, and OUAT (Once Upon a Time).

Also I happily watch (but don't quite follow) The Big Bang Theory, Community, Two Broke Girls, Parks and Rec, The Mindy Project, The Middle, Suburgatory, and The Office (that just had its last season *sad face*). And you can expect me writing about them.

The New Normal got canceled so I will make a post about the first and only season - next week.

As you can see I'm a Comedy kind of girl!

Reality:

The only reality show that I actually follow and love is Top Chef, but my biggest secret is KUWTK (Keeping Up With The Kardashians), LOL! Also I very much enjoy any Food/Cook related reality as well as travels... And I find Honey Boo-Boo hilarious. So every now and then, you'll see some posts on that note.

Movies:

I go to the movies every week, and I'm always on Netflix too, so I'll review movies as I watch them, just remember that I don't live in the USA so the movies to hit theater here might be late!

-

So refer to this post when to ask for reviews!

Thanks!

Seth Meyers to Host Late Night!

So this is the talk on the town during this week, but in my opinion we will be ok! LOL
I find Seth hilarious and and he is the perfect replacement for Jimmy Fallon on the Late NightSince we will still be seing Jimmy as he takes over Jay Leno's place on the Tonight Show.

Now I won't be missing Jay, as I find that he had better days!

Of course this will all happen next year, so you'll have time to adjust to the idea!

Tell me what you think off it in the comments!

New shows on the way!

I always get excited about Pick Ups and Pilots! Here is one we can't miss!

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, is from the same creator of Once Upon a Time, and the plot is around Alice (obviously), as I said if they can create as a strong backstory and lovable caracthers as in the original series we can expect a hit!

If you are not excited with the pictures, you will be excited with this.

Also ABC picked up a series called Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which sounds awesome, as well as a Rebel Wilson comedy called Super Fun Night - that sounds awesomest!

The New Normal: Why it Got Cancelled.

I really liked this series, and I figured it would go at least for four seasons (since the plot was very simple), but it got canceled after just one, so I will tell you what it was all about and why that happened.

The show was around a very lovable cast, the plot was basically a gay couple that wanted to adopt a baby via surrogate, showing as the title said a new type of family, a new normal.

And that's exactly what went wrong... Even though, I like to think our society was ready for a show like that (after all it's a reality we live in) the truth is, they weren't. Sadly we still have a lot of people that don't accept that, yes, we all are different, but we still should have the same rights.

This show got cancelled not because the plot was bad, or the cast, not an internal fight, no real reason at all other than: the executives got scared.

Scared of the religious people, and all those hateful  ignorant speeches we all know so well!

That's a shame! If they had sticked by their show, and defended it we would  have had a chance do educate some of those people, we would have shown them, that love is love, parents are parents, people are people, feelings are feelings, and we may have different choices, may be different, but we all suffer, get hurt, love and laugh,.

We all deserve equal rights.

Maybe next time a show as brave as this comes on TV we'll all just understand, and it won't be a problem, or a shock, we all will just sit back, enjoy and relax watching a good (funny) sitcom!

Words CAN'T describe how sad I am with the cancellation of Happy Endings as I find it was the BEST comedy show about friends since Friends... Just all around well written and hilarious, and I will do a post only about them - later this week.

I know we have a lot of Grey's Anatomy fans out there, but the plot and storyline nowadays is flat, uninspired and all around sad, and I feel they should start considering a final season very soon.

I just know they will never cancel American Idol, but even if they change every judge, Im not positive the audience will pick up since we are all tired of the format, also The Voice looks waaaaay cooler!

Yay for Modern Family (genius), Suburgatory, The Big Bang Theory, HIMYM, New Girl, 2 Broke Girls, Parks and Rec, The Mindy Project, The Office, Community and The Middle, all in which I really love, and some are my favorites shows! I guess the only show that I follow that is not a comedy is Once Upon a Time (Yay for them too)! LOL

Also, since The Office and 30 Rock were a couple of my favorite shows I'm glad they ended them with honor and dignity!

Boo for the cancellations of Don't trust the B-, Smash, Go On, and The New Normal! All so great.

But again, no cancellations makes me sader than Happy Endings, let's just hope, REALLY HOPE, USA picks them up!

I'll post about some of the pilots that were picked up - next week!

HIMYM: Season Finale

Weren't we all so very excited about HIMYM Season Finale yesterday?! I know I was!!
Over all, I tought it wasn't the best season and it all felt flat especially because we didn't see the wedding! I mean, C'moooooooon!!!! We waited for it for SO LONG!

But we FINALLY have seen THE MOTHER!

According to E! she is:
"Broadway star and Tony-nominated actress Cristin Milioti (and she) appeared in the last shot of the finale, yellow umbrella and all, presumably on her way to play in the band at Barney and Robin's wedding. It makes sense that the HIMYM bosses chose Milloti, who just wrapped up her run as "Girl" in the musical Once,  because we all know that Ted's future wife is very musically-inclined. Unless this is some kind of cruel red herring, then we just laid eyes on the infamous mother."
Agreed.
We all had a picture made in our heads about how she would look like, and I have to say I figured she would be very petit since she "can fit on Lily's clothes" (remember?), well not only she can fit on it, but she looks almost exactly like Lily! I was "Wohah!". See it for yourself:

Now, about the episode... It was VERY cute to see Barney and Robin reharsing for their nuptials and selecting the final touches and getting ready and all, it felt so right! Also I enjoyed seen them interacting with a different couple and choosing their love, realizing they made the right decision!

The fact that Ted wants to move to Chicago (I assume to forget Robin) annoys me, I just wanna scream "IT'S OVER TEDDY SHE'S MARRYING SOMEONE ELSE, AND THEY ARE PERFECT TOGETHER!". I don't get why the writes are insisting in this plot!

Here's what an user named i1tabighug said on Hypable.com:
"I hope Ted gives Robin the locket in the scene we've seen of the wedding where she's freaking out thinking marrying Barney is the wrong idea, in 'something old' she said that the locket would be a symbol that she was doing the right thing, I hope that as much as Ted wants to give it her because he loves her and wants to make her happy that by giving her the symbol that its okay to marry Barney he can let her go and meet the mother"
I hope the same thing!

Also, I was so happy to see that Beercules aka Marshmellow aka Marshall got called to be a NYC Judge and the whole Rome nonesense was over!

Over all, I am very excited about next season and sad at the same time since, we've been watching this for so long! It's like Friends all over again!

Now...Here it is, people... Meet the mother:

This week is gonna be hot!

So we still have a lot of Season Finales to deal with this week!
Today we have Two Broke Girls, then we'll have HIMYM (the episode is called something new, and they are advertising it as  "the mother of all secrets" which can only mean that we WILL see the mother for the first time!).
Also still to come we'll have New Girl guest staring T. Swift (can she pull it off?)

So you can expect losts of reviews in the next few days!

Exciting!!!

The Great Gatsby - Not a Review (Yet!)

If you live in the USA, you have probably watched "The Great Gatsby" by now, but I didn't!
Not only I want to read the book before I do, it didn't hit the movies quite yet on where I live!
Nonetheless, here is an article that tells you everything you need to know about it, spoilers free!

I know it's a major American classic, but since I'm not American, I had no idea what it was about! So thanks internet! :)

Season Finale: Once Upon a Time

I'm happy Storybrook is still there and all, but, I agree when some of you said that it was an anti-climax moment! I mean everything seemed rushed, like how quick Belle got her memory back, even though it was a huge drama on this season!

I predicted that the 3rd season would take place on the Enchanted Forest and we sure can expect to see more of it because of Bae, Mulan, Aurora and Philip (Just hope they show how Philip got back to life!). But turns out 3rd season apparently will take place on Neverland with flashbacks to Storybrook.

Let's see how they will play this!

That been said, I've always imagined Peter Pan as Villain and he might be the one behind the organization, I say that 'cause of the hint Rumple gave it in the very end of this episode, and not Wendy as many of us imagined! Maybe Tamara and Greg are just lost boys...
It was an ok season finale in my opinion, but it sure makes me wanna watch next season!

Now this is from Hypable.com from an user named tumbliina:
"Shadows are somehow the manifestations of your strongest personality traits; peter's would be strength, determination, stubbornness, cunning, etc. Without your shadow, your actual body reverts to a 'shadow' of its former self after a while. meaning he would lose his hope, kindness, and free spirit which make him the Pan! let's remember in the cartoon when peter lost his shadow, it had a mind of it's own and was quite mischievous...

At some point there was a prophecy that there would be a boy who could re-unite bodies with their shadows and it's henry. so peter has been searching tirelessly for henry to be reunited with his shadow and become whole again. basically, henry is super powerful, but doesn't know it yet."
I completely agree with this. We can expect that kind of twist next season!

Now let's think about something, True Love's Kiss breaks any magic, even dark ones, so Belle (that kissed Rumple two times in the finale) IN THEORY cured him already from being the Dark One (remember when she tried to kiss him once on the Enchanted Forest and almost cured him?), so IDK HOW they will play this, 'cause it wouldn't be linear if they let this detail out. Also, Henry is his undoing because he brought his love (Belle) back into his life, somehow, and she cured him. I mean, it would only make sense - but I have to give this some more thought.

The spin-off makes me really excited, I mean if they can create a back story to Wonderland as good as to the Enchated Forest it will be great!
